REPORT OF DECEMBER 2011'S CHRISTMAS PARTY
The first Friday of the month in December marks the start of Christmas. When the 
committee arrived around 4pm the room looked very festive having been decorated for us with Christmas Tree and ceiling decorations by The Labour Club in Connahs Quay. The tables were set with Christmas tablecloths, crisps and snacks put out (we had to test some for health and safety reasons!!). Crackers all waiting to be pulled.
A superb raffle was arranged by the entrance door which was very supported during the evening. 
With everything all ready and Christmas music playing the first guests arrived about 6.30pm. The room quickly filled with people, laughter and Christmas cheer. The show began at 7.45 with the usual thrash and the evening was hosted by Jim Knight and the show organised by Tony Humphries. Each performer presented their song and there was a mixture of Christmas music interspersed with George Formby songs and general variety. At the close of the first half we were introduced to a very special guest star who, although very busy at this time of year, managed a visit to us. It was of course Father 
Christmas who also brought along Mother Christmas!! 
During the interval with the buffet being served they passed around the audience presenting presents to everyone.
The second half entertainment was as enjoyable as the first and everybody left at the end of the evening feeling festive wishing ecerybody a Very Happy Christmas and looking forward to a Great New Year at The North Wales George Formby Society.
